Farmington (6-5) swept the doubles competition and won three of four singles matches to start a busy final eight days of a compressed regular season.
"Simley had beaten us 7-0 the last two years and it appeared they were expecting the same result," Tiger coach Jack Olwell said. "Our play has been outstanding recently. We haven't been above .500 in awhile."
Jake Bauer and Jon Zakoksi won in straight sets at second and fourth singles and Ivan Rodriguez ground out a hard-earned three-set win at the the No. 3 spot after falling behind 0-1 after the first set.
"All of the matches were closely contested," Olwell said, "even the ones that appeared one-sided."
In doubles play, the first team of Austin Tremmel and Trent Kortenbusch survived after losing the first while the second and third teams of Gavin Renwick and Cooper Ericksen and Grady Hauswirth and Garrett Brown each won handily in two.
