| Kylee Glen scored 1st Tiger goal |
Monday night at Rosemount the Tigers scored a season-high 17 goals in a 17-8 victory over the Irish, their fourth win in the last five outings.
"We certainly came out of our shell in this game," Farmington coach Dan Pickens said. "Rosemount is not a bad team. We just played that well."
The Tigers jumped to a quick 3-0 lead and led by a comfortable 10-6 margin at the halftime break.
"Everyone played well," Pickens said. "We just played again as a team, moved the ball to the open girl and finished when we had the opportunities."
Pickens had special words of praise for defender Kylee Glen who scored in the game's opening minute to get her team off to a fast start.
"Kylee had her best game of the year and held their best player, the fifth leading scorer in the state, to just one goal," he said.

"We spread the scoring out this game with eight different players getting a goal," Pickens said "It was truly a team effort.
Maddie Kohlbeck continued to do a good job defending the Farmington net, stopping 12 of 20 shots.
The Tigers entertain Rochester Mayo Tuesday in the last home game of the regular season and travel to Hill-Murray Thursday to close the books on the 2013 campaign. Section play begins next Tuesday.

The seventh place finish locked up the seventh spot in the final league rankings for the Tigers, one rung higher on the league ladder than the finished last spring.
"We lucked out and had intermittently good weather," coach Jon Stock said. "Now that we have the conference behind us we can begin working on our skills for the sections."
New Prague sewed up the 2013 conference title with a 338-341 win over runner-up Red Wing. Chaska ranked third at 348, followed by Northfield 366, Chanhassen 368, Shakopee 385, Farmington 459 and Holy Angels 486.

Farmington ended the five-meet run in sixth place in the eight-team conference.
Chanhassen claimed the 2013 league title with a 301 stroke total. Chaska and Shakopee tied for seocnd at 324, followed by Shakopee 328, Red Wing 328, New Prague 338, Northfield 340 and Holy Angels 358.
" It is a short course that gives you uneven lies all of the time," assistant coach Terry Holmes said. The elevated greens gave us some trouble. When you miss them it is hard to get up and down in two."
Erik Holmstrom again led the Tiger scorers with a round of 80, one shot better than teammates Garrett Heidelberger and Jake Trippel.
"We need another golfer to shot in the low 80's," Holmes said.
Jake Jensen shot 86, Darby Grengs 89 and Grant Hauswirth 90 to round out the Tiger scoring.
Head coach Jon Holmes could not be present for the conference finale but commented he was encouraged by his team's showing, its best of the league season.
"A fourth place finish in the last conference meet is really good for us," he said, "especially with the section coming up."
Section 1AA team play begins Tuesday, May 28, at Bellwood Oaks Golf Club in Hastings. The Tigers tune up for post-season play with a dual meet against Rosemount Thursday at Emerald Greens.
