I would like to announce that
I will be recommending Amanda Lund to become our new Varsity Gymnastics
Coach. Amanda is in her first year teaching Social Studies at FHS after
teaching and coaching for a year in Missouri. She is a 2005 graduate of
Pine Island where she was a three sport athlete (volleyball, gymnastics, and
track and field). Amanda served as a captain in all three sports.
She was named the Pine Island Student Athlete of the Year her senior year. Amanda has served as a gymnastics coach at the
club level as well at the middle school and high school level for the past five
years. We are excited to have her as our new coach for the upcoming
2014-2015 school year. Please take a moment to welcome Amanda when you
next see her.
