Chanhassen set the tone with a dominant first game win on the way to a 3-0 Missota Conference victory over Farmington Thursday night at Tiger Gym.

The Storm won game one 25-11 and completed the sweep by counts of 25-15 and 25-22..

The loss dropped the Tigers to 1-4 in conference play and 12-9 overall. Chanhassen is 4-1 and 11-8.

"We battled in set three the way we should have battled the entire match," Farmington coach Mike Woody said. "We played four good sets out of six this week. Hopefully we can build on that this weekend in the Cannon Falls Tournament."

The stat sheet reflected the one-sided score of the match with the Tigers putting up some of their lowest numbers of the season.

On the offensive side, Kenzie Hesse and Morgan Cecchittini led in kills with six and five respectively while setter Ruthie Schmitt totaled a season-low 14 assists.

Libero Diana Comes had a busy night with team-highs in digs (14) and serve receptions (34). Emma Fahning added 11 digs and Hesse had 11 serve receptions. Cecchittini and Vanessa Garske each came up with three blocks.

Following the weekend tournament at Cannon Falls the Tigers close out their conference and regular season with two matches next week, Tuesday at Holy Angels and Thursday at home versus Shakopee. Section 1AAA play begins Wednesday, October 23.
