A win would have bumped the Tigers regular season record to the .500 mark but they had to settle for a 2-2 with Holy Angels in the regular season finale played Saturday afternoon at Richfield Arena.

The draw left coach Jon Holmes' squad with a final record of 11-12-2 heading into this week's Section 1AA tournament. Farmington finished 3-6-1 in Missota Conference play and ranked fourth in the six-team league standings.

The Tigers started the season 2-8-1 before closing on a 9-4-1 run over their final 14 games.

Farmington got the better of the play against the Stars, out-shooting them 25-21 for the game, including a decisive 10-3 margin in the third period, but could not come up with the game-winner.

After a scoreless first period the Stars netted the only goal of the second to lead 1-0 heading into the final 17 minutes of regulation.

Megan Stivers knotted the score with a power play score 36 seconds into the third period on an assist from Ellie Moser but Holy Angels countered with a goal of its own to re-take the lead.
