Farmington scored 24.5 points and ranked 52nd among 60 teams at the talent-filled Rumble on the Red tournament held Dec. 29-30 at the Fargodome in Fargo, North Dakota.

"We had a good tournament," Tiger coach Chad Olson said. "Twelve wrestlers made the second day (varsity and junior varsity). We only had three make it last year. Eleven of the 12 were 10th grade or younger.

"Jake had a great tournament." Olson said. "The last two matches he wrestled on the first day were the best matches of his career...Taylor had over 20 ranked wrestlers in his weight class and was one match away from placing."

Joe Hoeve (152) split four matches to score five points and Brayden Champman (132) went 1-2 to account for the other Farmington point.

Other varsity wrestlers competing at the two-day event for Farmington included Kyle Benjamin (113); John Walz (120); Joe Liden (126); Chris McCue (145); Ridge Raddatz (160); Tyler Engel (182); Dakoda Louis-Dupay (220) and Bret Hoffman (285).

The Tigers will take their five-match dual meet winning streak into next Saturday's (Jan. 7) Tigers Duals meet at FHS. Other participating schools include Lakeville North, Chatfield, Park of Cottage Grove, Northfield, Paynesville Area, Lake City and Milaca.
