Kathryn Beckett and Kiana Lord each placed in three events and finished second and third respectively in the all-around competition to lead the Tigers to a narrow win over Rosemount Thursday, Dec. 29, in Rosemount.

Farmington finished at 133.75, less than a point better than the Irish.

"It's always hard to have a meet during the holidays," coach Lynn Bauman said. "We tried our best and pulled out a win....The girls were positive and made a big improvement on the beam."

Beckett took first on the bars and second in vaulting and floor exercise. Her all-around total of 32.4 points ranked second.

Lord won the vault and placed fourth on the beam and in floor exercise for a third place all-around total of 32.25.

Kylie Wharton won the balance beam competition. Jade Alm took second on the beam and Brianna Ruiz finished runner-up on the uneven bars.

This Saturday (Jan. 7) the Tigers vault back into action with an appearance at the Faribault Invitational.
