Boys Lacrosse: Tigers move to 4-1

Farmington rallied from a 2-0 deficit after one period to defeat Woodbury 8-4 Friday in Woodbury to run its season record to 4-1.

Chris Fitzgibbons scored a career-high four goals and Corey Rudrud added two more scores for the winners who led 3-2 at the halftime break.

Kevin Clifton and Mitch Hilton each chipped in with a goal. Hilton had a pair of assists and Clifton and Tyler Jette each had one.

Michael Thompson helped the Tigers control possession time by winning 12 of 14 face-offs. Dan Block recorded a game-high 12 ground balls and Alex Aubrecht added eight.

Goalkeeper Kyle Kratz and the defense had another solid night. The Royals finished with just 15 shots on goal with Kratz coming up with 11 saves.

Next up for the Tigers is another tough road challenge Tuesday, April 29, at St.Thomas Academy.
