Boys Tennis: A perfect week

Bennett Lagro won in straight sets at No. 1 singles
The Tigers completed a perfect 3-0 week with a solid 6-1 non-conference road win over Faribault Friday afternoon.

In Farmington's (4-4) three-game streak it has outscored Bloomington Kennedy, New Prague and Faribault by a combined 20-1 count.

At Faribault the Tigers swept the singles ladder with Bennett Lagro, Jake Bauer and Ivan Rodriguez each winning in three sets at the first through third positions and Jake Spindler claiming victory by forfeit in the fourth slot.

The No. 2 doubles tandem of of Gavin Renwick and Cooper Erickson and the No. 3 duo of Garrett Brown and Grady Hauswirth each won in straight sets.

The lone Falcon point came at first doubles where Matt Welborn and Logan Gregerson defeated Farmington's Austin Tremmel and Jon Zakoski 6-2, 6-0.

The Tigers will look to make it four straight Monday when they make the short trip to Rosemount for a non-conference match with the Irish.
