2009 FHS female Athlete of the Year Kirstee Rotty has joined the St. Olaf College women's basketball team after wrapping up her senior volleyball season for the Oles. Rotty led the volleyball team in digs with 711...Former Tiger Katie Habeck (2011) is second in blocks and fourth in kills for defending NCAA Division III national champion Concordia-St. Paul volleyball...Danielle Dombeck of the Tiger class of 2010 started 16 matches for North Dakota State this fall,. ranking third in digs, fourth in serve receptions and sixth in kills.
Two ex-Tigers were members of the College of St. Scholastica's Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) fall sports championship teams. Bailey Opsal (2012) ran for the Saints' cross country champs while classmate Brandon Scott was a steady contributor (7 goals, 6 assists) for the unbeaten men's soccer team
Tiger grads Josh Zitzmann (2009) and Nick Albano (2010) were major contributors to the 9-2 season put together by the Rochester Technical and Community College football team this fall. In the state championship game, a 33-23 loss to Central Lakes College (Brainerd), Zitzmann caught six passes for 136 yards and a touchdown while Albano led the defense with 17 tackles.

1989 FHS male Athlete of the Year Matt Walter has his Annandale football team in the Class AAA state semifinals. The Cardinals downed New London-Spicer 20-17 Saturday in St. Cloud to set up a match-up with Rochester Lourdes next week in the Metrodome.
Ex-Tiger Chad Stivers (2012) finished 5-3-1 with four shutouts as the primary goalkeeper for the Edgewood College men's soccer team in Madison, Wisconsin...Former Tiger Kayla Seivert had a goal and an assist in 15 games as a defender for Wisconsin-Stout...Kelli Harstad of the Tiger class of 2012 started all 18 games on defense for St. Mary's University in Winona.
Two former Tiger soccer players, Lindsay (Peterson) Collins and Britta (Peterson) Pahl, were assistant coaches in the FHS boys soccer program this fall. Britta coached the junior varsity squad while Lindsay handled the B-squad coaching duties.
2011 FHS male Athlete of the Year Carl Elmer (left) was one of three St. Olaf wrestlers to post wins in the Oles first dual meet of the 2012-13 season against Central College (Iowa). Elmer finished 16-12 as a freshman season last winter.
