The revamped grouping produced a 14th place finish among 20 teams at the race held at Memorial Park.
Host Shakopee won the meet with a low team total of 81 points. Rogers took second with 103, followed by River Falls (Wis.) 113, Buffalo 116, Forest Lake 166, St. Paul Central 207, St. Paul Highland Park 207, Richfield 225, Northfield 255, Robbinsdale Cooper 286, Chanhassen 298, Red Wing 301, St. Francis 327, Farmington 331, Providence Academy 415, St. Croix Lutheran 474, Breck 473, Christ's Household of Faith 489 and Simley 557.
Varsity regular Hunter Sevenich turned in the top Tiger time of the day, finishing in 18:14 in 46th place. Fellow senior Matt Anderson ranked second among Farmington entrants with a 61st place showing in 18:47.
Derek Cole took 71st in 19:08; Ryan Newton 72nd in 19:09; Peyton Woller 81st in 19:19; Josh Grimm 99th in 19:51 and Jackson Schneider 105th in 20:06.
"This meet typically doesn’t produce personal record times and this was the third meet in a week for them," coach Lisa Lippold said. "What I really wanted them to focus on was running together in a pack and they did just that. We are now going to concentrate on preparing for the conference meet next Tuesday.
"If everyone stays healthy, I am hoping for a top three finish. It's going to be tight as there are a lot of runners running around the same time. We're ready for it and are excited to see what happens."
The 2013 Missota Conference Champions for both the boys and girls will be held next Tuesday, October 15, at Cedar Farms in New Prague.
