The Tigers bounced back from two close losses with a solid all-around effort in a 5-2 non-conference win over Bloomington Kennedy Saturday afternoon at the Bloomington Ice Garden.

Grady Hauswith scored a pair of goals and Tanner Grubb, Jack Erickson and Justin Hyytinen had one apiece for the visitors who evened out their record at 11-11-1 with two games left on the regular season schedule.

Erik Holmstrom and John Siebenaler each recorded a pair of assists for the winners and John Donnelly, Kevin Olund, Dallas Tucker and Justin Novak had one apiece as 10 different Tigers scored at least a point.

Gage Overby drew the start in goal and stopped 32 of 34 shots to post his fifth win of the season.

Hauswith and Hyytinen scored in the first period and Hauswirth and Grubb found the back of the net in the second as the Tigers took a 4-2 lead into the third.

Erickson's goal, that hit the cross bar and took a friendly Tiger bounce, closed out the scoring in the third period.

"We had goals of not taking a period off, limiting penalties and converting our opportunities," Tiger coach Keith Revels said. "Those things had escaped us the last two games but not today.

"It was nice to open things up a bit offensively. We made some adjustments in lines that seemed to help."

Revels was also pleased with his team's discipline. The Tigers scored two power play goals and were whistled for just one penalty.

"They (Kennedy) had a guy go out on the same play so we never had a penalty kill situation," Revels said.

The Tigers close their regular season next week. Tuesday they host Chaska in their home finale at Schmitz-Maki Arena and Thursday they travel to Shakopee for another Missota Conference contest.
