Farmington doubled up on Stillwater 50-25 in its opening match and then dominated Eagan 47-19 in the nightcap.
"Last night was as well as any team has wrestled, since I've been coach," Chad Olson said. "The wrestlers set a goal on Monday to win both duals. It was great to see them go out and put it all together.
"We were still short three starters, but we are now to the point as a program, when a varsity guy goes down we have a capable back-up that can replace him."
Five Tigers accounted for 30 team points against the Ponies with six-point falls (Matt Rustad (126), John Walz (152), Joe Hoeve (160), Chris McCue (182) and Jamie Scavone (285).
Jacob Gabbard (120) and Brayden Chapman (132) added major decisions and the winners picked up a dozen more points on a pair of forfeits.
Jamin LeDuc ran his season record to 17-1 with an decision in the 106 lbs. bout and Taylor Venz (113) improved to 21-2 with a technical fall to get the Tigers off to a flying start against the Wildcats.

Olson also sang the praises of 138-pounder Alex LaVictoire who performed well in losses to two top-flight opponents.
"He was our unsung hero," Olson said. "He lost but didn't give up any bonus points."
The Tigers lost eight matches in the two meets and gave up bonus points in only four of them, a goal Olson has stressed to his team.
"Our motto for our dual meets has been 'Win big and lose small'," Olson said. "Tonight we won 14 matches and scored bonus points in 12 of them."
Saturday the Tigers return to action when they travel to Montgomery for the Tri-City United Invitational.
