Even though they were missing all-state performer Terra Klima the Tigers managed to post a solid 138.1-128.525 non-conference dual meet win over Faribault, Tuesday Feb. 1, at the District Service Center.
Klima missed the meet with a sore back but Kiana Lord returned from a three-meet absence due to an injured ankle to give her team a boost.
"We had a good meet, especially missing Terra out there," Tiger coach Lynn Bauman said. "We stuck four of five beam routines which was nice to see again."
Nadia Lorencz and Lord each registered a pair of first place finishes, Lorencz in vault (9.175) and All-Around (34.45) and Lord on bars (8.65) and floor exercise (9.375).
Kylie Wharton provided a fifth first place finish for Farmington, winning on the balance beam with an 8.825 mark. She also tied for second in vault, ranked fourth on the uneven bars and scored a runner-up finish in the All-Around standings.
Lorencz added a trio of second place finishes to her two wins, finishing runner-up on bars, beam and floor exercise.
Tahra Eckert scored in three events and Jade Alm and Kathryn Beckett in two apiece. Eckert ranked third on bars, fourth in floor and fifth on beam. Beckett tied for second in vault and placed third in floor while Alm took third on beam and fourth in vault.
Farmington closes out its dual meet season with a trip to Chanhassen/Chaska on Friday and then begins preparation for the Missota Conference Championships slated for Friday, Feb. 11, in New Prague.
"We just need to keep everyone healthy for the last two big meets (Missota Conference and Section 1AA)," Bauman said. "We really do have a great team..."
