For the first time in weeks the Tigers were able to field a healthy lineup and the result was a solid 139.6-134.525 Missota Conference dual meet win over Chaska/Chanhassen Friday night, Feb. 4, in Chaska.
"It was an interesting night," Farmington coach Lynn Bauman said. "The lights went out just after Nadia Lorencz had finished flipping her vault. It was scary."
"Then at the end, they (Chaska/Chanhassen) entered a few scores wrong and didn't even count one of ours."
Kiana Lord was back to full strength and had a big night for the winners, placing in four events and winning the all-around title with 35.425 points. Lord took second in floor exercise and third in vault, balance beam and the uneven bars."
Terra Klima also had a productive night for the Tigers, winning on bars (9.25) and beam (8.95).
Lorencz won the vault (9.175) and her all-around score of 35.125 earned second place honors. She also placed third in floor and fourth on beam and bars.
Kathryn Beckett was runner-up in vault while three Tigers scored fifth place finishes: Kylie Wharton on bars; Erin Hickey in vault and Tahra Eckert in floor exercise.
In addition to lauding the performance of her varsity team, Bauman praised the work of her junior varsity squad that scored a season-high point total in a 126.5-125.6 win over the Stormhawks.
Leah Rhode placed first in the vault and Hickey and Gina Mercurio tied for first on the balance beam to pace the JV effort.
Next up on the Tiger schedule is Friday's (Feb. 11) Missota Conference meet at New Prague.
"Now it is just a matter of working on cleaning up our varsity for the conference championship," Bauman said. "Everyone seems to be healing up and we should be able to go as a full team again."
