The 2010-2011 Farmington Tigers Athletics school year has officially ended. Here are some athletics highlights from this past school year:
1. Senior Elliot Fenske finishes in 40th place at the Class AA State Cross Country Meet.
2. Senior Devyn Alberts is named All-State in soccer.
3. Senior Katie Habeck is named All-State in volleyball.
4. Girls' Swim & Dive team wins Section 1AA True Team Meet, advancing to the Class AA State True Team Meet.
5. Girls' Swim & Dive team finishes as the Section 1AA Runner-Up, with Kaitlyn O'Reilly, Elizabeth Wolfe, Caitlin Kracke, Kirsten Kracke, and Ellie Sundet advancing to the Class AA State Meet.
6. Girls' Swim & Dive team finishes in 17th place at the Class AA State Meet. Kaitlyn O'Reilly finishes in 15th place in the 200 IM and 8th place in the 100 Backstroke, Elizabeth Wolfe finishes in 7th place in the Breaststroke, and the 200 Medley Relay finishes in 9th place.
7. CI Adapted Soccer team advances to the State Tournament.
8. Girls' Basketball finishes the season 23-4, claiming program's first ever Missota Conference Championship and finishing as the Section 1AAA Runner-Up.
9. Gymnastics team finishes as the Section 1AA Runner-Up, with Kiana Lord, Nadia Lorencz, and Terra Klima advancing to the Class AA State Meet.
10. Kiana Lord finishes in 6th place on the Beam at the Class AA State Gymnastics Meet.
11. Girls' Hockey team win Missota Conference Championship and finishes as the Section 1AA Runner-Up.
12. Boys' Swim & Dive team wins program's first Missota Conference Championship.
13. Boys' Swim & Dive team wins Section 1AA True Team Meet, advancing to the Class AA State True Team Meet.
14. Boys' Swim & Dive team finishes as the Section 1AA Runner-Up, with Brian Huls, Lorren Hatten, Zachary Holton, Tyler Magalis, Alan Berg, and Christopher Kirchmann advancing to the Class AA State Meet.
15. Boys' Swim & Dive team finishes in 14th place at the Class AA State Meet. Brian Huls finishes in 9th place in the 50 Freestyle and 8th place in the 100 Freestyle, the 200 Medley Relay finishes in 13th place and the 200 Freestyle Relay finishes in 10th place.
16. Senior Tyler Magalis wins a State Championship in 1 Meter Diving at the Class AA State Meet.
17. Senior Carl Elmer advances to the Class AAA State Tournament, finishing in 5th place at 140 pounds.
18. Senior Sam Hanson advances to the Class AA State Meet, finishing in 13th place in the High Jump.
19. Girls' Track & Field team advances Nadia Lorencz (Long Jump & 100 Hurdles), Alyssa Parco (300 Hurdles), and 4x400 Relay (Alyssa Parco, Erin Hickey, Maria Kiminski, Isabelle Ferm) to the Class AA State Meet.
20. Girls' Track & Field team finishes in 4th place at the Class AA State Meet. Nadia Lorencz finishes in 2nd place in the Long Jump and 2nd place in the 100 Hurdles, Alyssa Parco finishes in 3rd place in the 300 Hurles, and the 4x400 Relay finishes in 4th place.
21. CI Adapted Softball team finishes as the Consolation Champion at the State Tournament and senior Ashley Smith is named to the All-Tournament team.
22. Senior Awards: AAA Male (Aaron Dahl), AAA Female (Jordan Bridges), Tom Rolloff Male (Brian Huls), Tom Rolloff Female (Terra Klima), Oscar Lubke (Sebren Baer), Leslie Lindell (Katie Habeck), Athlete of the Year Male (Carl Elmer), Athlete of the Year Female (Devyn Alberts).
23. The Farmington Athletics Department provided 2,177 participation opportunities during the 2010-11 school year. This is an increase of 100 over the 2009-10 school year and a 5 year increase of 349.
24. The "Tiger Fan Club" (Farmington Athletics Booster Club) donates approximately $20,000 to help support all Tigers Athletics sport programs.
