Chloe Batta scored power play goal in 1st period

Seven different players recorded points as Chaska/Chanhassen knocked off Farmington, 5-1, Tuesday night in Chaska.
The conference-leading Stormhawks were lead by Casey Lindquist, who scored two goals, including a shorthanded goal in a three-goal first period.
The Tigers (7-11-0, 3-4-0) received their lone goal from Chloe Batta, a power play tally assisted by Michaela Tonsager and Betsy Anderson, at 9:52 of the first period. The two teams combined for four first period goals in a span of just over two and a half minutes capped by Batta’s goal.
The Stormhawks added a goal in the second and the third to cap the scoring.
Farmington finished 1-for-6 on the power play while Chaska/Chanhassen went scoreless in one chance.
Jessica Erchul stopped 27 shots for the Tigers while Carly Van Orden made 21 saves for the Stormhawks.
Farmington will host New Prague on Friday at Schmitz-Maki Arena. Puck drops at 7:15 p.m.
