Farmington scored first but Hastings laughed last in a 4-2 Raider win Tuesday, Sept. 7, in Hastings.
The Tigers got off to a fast start, scoring on a Kenya Macias goal from Gabby white before the Raiders responded with a pair of goals to take a 2-1 lead to the halftime break.
Neither team scored again until Ashley Kimmel (from Kelly Kornmann) netted her team-high eighth goal of the season to knot the count with eight minutes to play in regulation.
The tie was short-lived, however, as a minute later the Raiders struck for two scores in a span of 13 seconds to nail down the win.
Farmington coach Rob Carpentier liked his team's second half comeback but overall was not pleased with its effort.
"Effort-wise that's the worst game we've had in my time coaching here," he said. "That pretty much sums it up."
The Tigers don't have much time to dwell on Tuesday's loss. Thursday they open their Missota Conference season when they entertain conference favorite Northfield at Tiger Stadium.
