Chanhassen lived up to its state ranking with a 7-0 Missota Conference win over the Tigers Tuesday, Sept. 13, at the Boeckeman Middle School courts.
The powerful Storm won all seven matches in straight sets, winning the four singles contests by a dominating 48-4 count.
"It was an impressive display of high school tennis," Tiger coach Jack Olwell said, "and they were missing their No. 1 singles player.
Chanhassen has been swimming in some deep waters this year. They played in the Rochester Mayo Invitational that had five of the top seven teams in it."
The Farmington No. 1 doubles team of Ally Midboe and Katie Burgess put up the best Tiger numbers. losing 3-6, 0-6.
"That first set was fun to watch," Olwell said. "Katie and Ally matched them shot for shot. Only one break in serve was the difference."
The Tigers continue their home court play Thursday when Shakopee, a team that upset Chanhassen earlier in the season, comes to town for a Missota Conference dual meet.
