For the first time since Farmington has been a Class AA school the Tigers will play host to a quarterfinal game in the section tournament.
The Tigers ranked No. 4 in the Section 1AA seeding held over the weekend and will entertain No. 5 Rochester John Marshall Thursday night at 7:00 at Schmitz-Maki Arena.
Farmington downed the Rockets 4-3 when the two teams met in Rochester Nov. 27.
The winner of that contest will play the winner of the game between Lakeville North and the winner of the Dodge County-Winona play-in game Saturday afternoon in Rochester.
