"The meet went OK for us," Farmington coach Ryan Hamen said. "We got the result we wanted but the guys have been working real hard and are a bit tired. ..We are going to the conference meet this Saturday and we will be ready for that."
Farmington won just three events but as has been the case all season. used its superior depth to roll up points in the second through fifth place slots.
Evan Carufel got the first Farmington win in the diving competition and then Dahlton Bell, Daniel Berg and Christian Bell finished in the top three spots in the 100 freestyle race to ignite the rally.
The other Tiger first came in the 200 freestyle relay where the foursome of Eric Schimmel, Dahlton Bell, Cameron Molnar and Christopher Kirchmann led the field. The Farmington quartet of Brandon Dion, Tyler Lerbakken, Robin DeCastro and Carufel took second in the race.
Schimmel added a pair of second place finishes to his winning relay effort, placing runner-up in the 200 individual medley and 500 freestyle.
Other Tigers scoring second place points included Kirchmann, 200 freestyle; Christian Bell, 50 freestyle; Dion, 100 butterfly; Oliver Chow, 100 backstroke and Spencer Kabran, 100 breaststroke.
Jonathan Bovee turned in his best scores of the season to place third in diving. Lerbakken (50 freestyle), Chow (100 butterfly) and Austin Kueck (500 freestyle) also finished third for the visitors.
Saturday the Tigers head to Shakopee Junior High West for the Missota Conference Championships where they finished runner-up in 2012.
