Boys Tennis: Tigers stuck in 5-2 rut

Blake Olmscheid 6-2, 6-2 winner at No. 2 singles

The Tigers must feel a little bit like Bill Murray's character in the "Groundhog Day" movie. Every day is starting to look the same.
Farmington dropped a 5-2 dual meet decision to Lakeville South, Wednesday, May 4 at Boeckman Middle School. It was the third 5-2 loss in as many days for coach Jack Olwell's squad.
"The wind was a big factor and in most cases we were not able to use it well," Olwell said.
The Tiger points came at first and second singles where Ben Cline and Blake Olmscheid each posted impressive victories.
Cline used solid defense and a strong attacking game to register a 6-4, 6-4 verdict at the No. 1 spot and Olmscheid exhibited patience and good timing in winning 6-2, 6-2 at the second position.
Farmington jumps back into Missota Conference play Thursday when they play a road match at Northfield.
