Farmington (3-1-1) ran its winning streak to three games Tuesday night with a 2-1 win over Section 1 rival Rochester Century at Tiger Stadium. In the five games played to date the Tigers have surrendered just two goals, an average of 0.40 a game.
"It's another game where I could highlight the play of any of the boys." coach Julian Buss said. "Every player, from starter to off the bench, is contributing at their best level and making improvements and adjustments on the field."
Senior forward Jared Wolt continued his torrid scoring pace, netting both Farmington goals in the first half. Wolt has tallied seven of the eight goals his team has scored in the three-game winning streak.
"Not only is Jared finding the net but he is creating scoring opportunities for his teammates as well," Buss said.
Blake Smith assisted on the first goal and Hunter Meyers, on a pass from Jon Zakoski, earned the assist on the eventual game-winner.

The Century goal was the first goal the Tigers have given up in regulation all season. The only other score allowed came in a 1-0 overtime loss to Lakeville North.
"Credit our boys for playing a tough game and getting the majority of the 50-50 balls," Buss said.
Agnew had a relatively quiet night in net in posting his third win, stopping all seven of the shots he faced.
The Tigers remained without the services of forward Robin DeCastro who missed his third straight game with a foot injury. They also lost Calvin Vue Tuesday after a collision with a Century player.
Farmington will try to make it four in a row Saturday when they head south to take on Owatonna, another Section 1 opponent.
