The 3-1 run in the tourney gives coach Mike Woody's team nine wins it its last 10 outings and raised its impressive season record to 11-4.
"Overall, it was a pretty good day," coach Mike Woody said. "We played well most of the day and found a way win when we needed to.
"I am not at all surprised we are 11-4. As we continue to build confidence and if we can stay healthy, I think we could be quite a force in our section."
Farmington opened the long day of volleyball with a 25-15, 25-15 win over New Ulm before dropping a 15-25, 18-25 decision to eventual meet champion Osseo in the second round.
The Tigers then handled BOLD 25-17, 25-19 before downing Chatfield 25-18, 20-25, 15-11 in the fifth place match.
The consolation champs earned their hardware the same way they have fashioned their recent winning streak with strong offensive sets set up by the passing of setter Ruthie Schmitt, aggressive attacking by hitters Kenzie Hesse and Emma Fahning and solid defensive play.
Schmitt averaged almost 22 assists in the four matches with a high of 28 in the win over BOLD. Hesse finished the day with a team-high 32 kills while Fahning recorded 30. Fahning also chipped in with eight services aces.
Fahning and libero Diana Comes had a busy day defensively, recording 38 and 36 digs respectively. Comes had a team-best 42 serve receptions, one more than Fahning. Hesse was right behind with 37.
The Tigers also put together some strong play at the net. Vanessa Garske and Morgan Cecchittini each came up with eight blocks and Hesse had seven.
Farmington, 1-1 in Missota Conference action, doesn't return to league play until Thursday when it entertains New Prague at Tiger Gym. Tuesday the Tigers head south to take on Section 1 rival Rochester Century in Rochester.
