Girls Soccer: Offense fires up in 4-0 shutout of Chaska

Gabby White

After scoring just one goal in their last three games the Tigers exploded for two in each half in a 4-0 Missota Conference win over Chaska, Tuesday, Oct. 5, at Tiger Stadium.
The victory bumped Farmington's season record up to 8-6-1 and 3-2-1 in conference play.
Coach Rob Carpentier said his team followed a familiar pattern in its second game in as many nights.
"A poor first half and an exceptional second," he said. "They outworked us in the first half and we only had four shots. But we managed to score twice on counters that turned into goals."
Kelli Harstad and Devyn Alberts netted the first half goals, both on assists from Gabby White.
White notched her first varsity goal and Laine Trowbridge added an insurance score in the second half, both off assists from Natalee Chromy.
"Gabby (White) was definitely the star of the game," Carpentier said.
The Tigers wrap up their Missota Conference season Thursday, October 7, and close out the regular campaign with a non-conference clash with Apple Valley Saturday at Tiger Stadium. Section 3AA play begins next week.
