Boys Soccer: Homecoming tie

The Tigers dominated possession and scoring opportunities but when all was said and done, all they had to show for 90 minutes of soccer was a scoreless overtime tie with New Prague at Tiger Stadium.

The Missota Conference tie left coach Julian Buss' team with an overall mark of 6-2-3 and 2-0-1 in Missota Conference play. All three of the ties have been scoreless.

"This was one of those games where you watched and thought we were going to score at anytime," Buss said.  "I would say we controlled the ball about 80 percent of the time."

"When we started the first overtime I thought we would score right away. It  just didn't happen."

Goalie Jake Agnew finished the night with eight saves in posting his fifth shutout of the season. Agnew and the stingy Tiger defense have given up just eight goals in 11 outings this season, an average of  0.73 a contest.

The Tigers will be looking to get the offense untracked Tuesday when they resume Missota Conference action with a road game at Chaska. Thursday they return home to host league rival Chanhassen.
