Farmington and Hastings split a pair of hotly contested games to open the match but it was all Tigers from there in a 3-1 win over the Raiders Tuesday night at Tiger Gym.

The Tigers, who have now won five straight, won the opener 26-24 and lost the second 23-25 before sweeping games three and four by 25-13 and 25-17 scores.

The victory upped the Farmington season record to 7-3, 0-1 in Missota Conference play.

The ninth-grade attacking duo of Kenzie Hesse and Emma Fahning played a major role in the non-conference victory with 22 and 15 kills respectively.

Setter Ruthie Schmitt set up an effective offense and finished the night with a season-high 47 assists.

Morgan Cecchittini led a strong performance at the net with seven blocks. Hesse and Vanessa Garke had four apiece.

Fahning also had a strong night defensively, leading the team in digs with 25. Hesse added 14 and Garke nine.

Hesse filled out her stat sheet with a team-high 21 serve receptions, two more than Fahning. Libero Diana Comes chipped in with 13.

The Tigers step back into Missota Conference play Thursday night with a road match at Red Wing.
