Alumni Tracker: Baumann scores on first collegiate shift
It didn't take long for 2011 FHS grad Krystal Baumann to fill the first page of her collegiate hockey scrapbook.
The ex-Tiger scored her first career goal just 1:07 after the opening face-off in the University of Vermont's 3-3 tie with Clarkson College last Friday night, Sept. 30, at Gutterson Fieldhouse in Burlington, Vermont.
Baumann, who scored 54 goals last season to help Farmington to the Missota Conference championship, finished her high school career ranked in the top 10 in five different career statistical categories: goals-158 (2nd); points-260 (3rd); games played-154 (5th); assists-92 (8th) and plus-minus-173 (10th).
Vermont plays most of its schedule on the east coast but the Catamounts do visit the Midwest once. They play the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, October 15th and 16th.
