Tiger coach Mike Woody wasn't displeased with his team's play in Tuesday night's 3-0 Missota Conference loss to New Prague at Tiger Gym, just the way it started each game.
"We actually played well," Woody said. "Too bad we spotted them six to eight points early in every game."
The Trojans won the regular season finale for both teams by scores of 25-19, 25-19 and 25-18.
The final outcome overshadowed another strong performance by seventh grader Emma Fahning who led the team in kills (7) and digs (20).
Bekah Lippert finished with a team-high four blocks and also added five kills. Setter Mia Johnston accounted for half of her team's total of 22 assists.
Rachel Eckert and Emily Nelson each came up with 10 digs and RuthAnne Schmitt chimed in with seven assists and a trio of service aces.
Woody said the Tigers' final 7-19 season record would probably translate into a nine or ten seed in the Section 1AAA tournament slated to start Wednesday, Oct. 26.
"It will mean a road game but a game that is winnable," he said.
