Boys Tennis: Kennedy trips Tigers 6-1
Bloomington Kennedy swept the singles matches and won two of three doubles contests to defeat Farmington 6-1 Friday, Apr. 29, in Bloomington.
"It doesn't sound like it but we had a chance to win the match," Tiger coach Jack Olwell said. "We had good chances to convert at third and fourth singles and first and third doubles...I think if we were more accustomed to winning we would be converting more opportunities."
The lone Farmington point came at second doubles where the Tiger tandem of Brian Waldbillig and Jeff Zakoskie pulled out an exciting 6-4, 2-6 (10-6) victory.
"They get better each match with Brian using strong ground strokes to set up Jeff at the net," Olwell said.
