In the first four games of the 2011 season, all losses, the Tigers followed a similar pattern, one good half followed by a not-so-good one.
Not so Monday evening, May, 2, when coach Dan Pickens team dominated play from start to finish in an impressive 14-6 win over Rochester Century at Tiger Stadium.
"Even though it felt more like November 2nd than May 2nd, we came out to win," Pickens said. "The girls knew the only way to stay warm was to run as fast as they could, and they did.
"The girls deserved to win a game after all of their hard work and how much they have improved this season."
The Tigers roared to an 8-3 halftime lead and then came out in the second half and built on their cushion.
Haley Bradshaw (4 goals) and Ally Midboe (3 goals, 3 assists) led the Farmington offense in the non-conference win.
Adrienne Jolicoeur and Lindsay Benson each scored twice and Jessica Erchul, Tia Jacoby, Brooke Genzler and Becky Genzler added a goal apiece. Jolicoeur had three assists and Erchul and Shlelby Klotz each had two.
Farmington continues its three-game week with home games Tuesday against Owatonna and Thursday against Chaska.
