Farmington stuck with league-leading Chanhassen (8-0) for a half before the senior-laden Storm pulled away after intermission for a 65-49 Missota Conference win Monday night at Chanhassen.
"It was a tough loss," Tiger coach Sondra Chadwick said. "We have a short bench right now due to injury and illness, and we were no match for their depth.
"The girls played a very tough and physical game, but we need to be able to step up to that kind of challenge."
Chanhassen led 29-24 at halftime and gradually used its physical style of play and size advantage to stretch its lead in the second period.
Senior froward Taylor Meyer and freshman point guard Sofia Chadwick continued to spark the Farmington offense. Meyer put together her fourth straight double-double with a team-high 15 points and 12 rebounds.
Chadwick added a solid all-around game, finishing with 14 points, three assists and three steals. Isis Alexander had seven points and piled up seven assists while Dava White tallied seven points, three steals and three assists.
The Tigers (3-5) now have an extra day to prepare for their next Missota Conference encounter, a Friday night road contest at Shakopee.
