The Tigers concluded a busy, four-game week with a tough 6-5 extra-inning loss to St. Cloud Apollo Friday night under the lights at Dick Putz Field in St. Cloud.

Farmington finished its four-games-in-five days grind with a 2-2 record and will take a 3-7 record into next week's play.

The Tigers struck first with a pair of runs in their first at-bat on a walk to Nathan Graham, singles by Jordan Lugowski, Spencer Merle and Brian Hegseth and a bases-loaded walk to Kevin Olund.

The visitors went up 4-0 in the third inning on a single by Ty Vincent, an Apollo error and Olund's RBI double.

The lead was short-lived, however, as Apollo scored two in the home half of the third and took the lead with a three-run fourth.

Vincent's double and a fielder's choice ground ball by Hegseth tied the contest in the sixth and the teams went scoreless until the winners pushed across the deciding run in the ninth.

Vincent had three of the six Tiger hits and scored twice. Hegseth and Olund each knocked in a pair of runs.

Next week the Tigers have another busy week on the docket. Tuesday they travel to Richfield to take on Holy Angels before returning home on Thursday to play Northfield. Friday and Saturday they play in the Wood Bat Tournament in Apple Valley.
