The Tigers capped a perfect week with a solid 10-4 win over Chaska/Chanhassen Thursday night at Tiger Stadium. The victory capped a 2-0 run for Farmington who evened its season record to 3-3.

"The biggest difference from last year to this year is the leadership that we have," coach Dan Pickens said. "We have the skill to be a top-10 team in the state; we were just waiting for the senior leaders to step up like they have done this year.

"The girls work hard and work as a team, which is the most important part of being successful. I am excited for the rest of the season. We are going to take a run at this section as well."

The Tigers dominated throughout, scoring six first half-goals on the way to build a commanding four-goal lead.

Adrienne Jolicoeur (4) and Haley Bradshaw (3) combined for seven of the Farmington goals with Jess Erchul, Michaela Tonsager and Betsy Anderson each adding a score. Jolicoeur, Bradshaw and Shelby Klotz also scored for Farmington.

Goalkeeper Maddie Kohlbeck stopped 12 of 16 shots to post her third win of the season.

"Maddie tore her ACL against this team last year," Pickens said. "She had special motivation tonight."

Pickens said the key to victory No. 3 was winning the little battles.

"We were winning draws and causing turnovers," he said. "We were patient in the offensive zone and let them make the mistakes."

Next week the Tigers have two big games on the docket. Monday they travel to Richfield to take on Holy Angels and Thursday they get a rematch with Chaska/Chanhassen in Chaska.
