Mackinley Bassett
Career-high 17 points
After making just one of 14 three-point shots at Target Center last Friday night against Zimmerman the Tigers returned home Tuesday and found their long range touch in a 79-45 thumping of Park Of Cottage Grove.
Three of Farmington's first four field goals of the game came from behind the arc and by halftime the Tigers had drained nine three-point bombs on the way to a commanding 47-22 lead.
"The way we played tonight was the way we thought we could play," Tiger coach Shane Wyandt said. "I was pleased with just about every aspect of our game.
"We made the extra pass, got good shots and then knocked them down. We took care of the ball and forced them (Park) into mistakes. Our depth was good. We just played like a team tonight."
By intermission three Tigers--Johnny Dittman (11), Derek Beenken (10) and Mackinley Bassett (10) had combined for 31 points, nine more than the opposition.
Park made a brief run early in the second half but only once did the visitors manage to cut their deficit below 20 points.

Beenken and Bassett topped the Farmington scoring charts with 18 and 17 points respectively. Bassett's was a varsity career-high as was Dittman's 14.
All in all, 11 different Tigers dented the scoring column. Thirty-three of the Farmington points came from behind the three-point stripe.
"We went to the bench early and played a lot of people," Wyandt said. "The good thing was that we didn't miss a beat. Everyone contributed."
The win raised Farmignton's overall record to 2-5 and 2-2 at Tiger Gym. Thursday the Tigers will be looking for their first road when they close out the pre-holiday portion of their schedule with a non-conference contest at Simley. An early 5:30 tip-off is scheduled.
