Rochester Century broke open a close game with three unanswered second period goals on the way to a 6-2 non-conference win over the Tigers Thursday, Dec. 1, at Schmitz-Maki Arena.

After Century scored the game's opening goal midway through the first period, Sean Johnson (from Marques Words and Blake Weinand) tied the count with his first score of the season. The visitors took the lead for good with a goal with just 11 seconds to play in the opening period.

Kevin Olund scored the second Farmington goal on assists from Words and John Donnelly early in the third period.

The Panthers outshot the Tigers by a dominant 49-23 count with goalie Victor Simones registering 43 saves in the loss.

Farmington (0-1-1) will be looking for their first victory of the young season, Tuesday, Dec. 6, when they travel to Winona to battle the Winhawks.
