First: 200 freestyle relay
Second: 200 freestyle and 100 butterfly
Host Hopkins won eight of 12 events on the way to a 100-86 dual meet win over the Tigers Thursday night at Hopkins North Junior High School.
"We still had a lot of guys swim in some different events but we kept it competitive," Farmington coach Ryan Hamen said. "A lot of the newer guys are swimming in different events to get experience and many are showing some great promise in different strokes.
"Our upper swimmers are really proud of some of the things they are doing but still not satisfied with where they want to go."
Farmington scored three firsts in swimming events with Christopher Kirchmann (50 freestyle) and Zach Holton (100 freestyle) capturing individual races. Kirchmann, Connor Kealy, Christian Bell and Evan Carufel scored the other victory in the 200 freestyle relay.
Carufel provided the other first place points by winning the one-meter diving competition.
Kealy added a pair of second place finishes (100 butterfly and 200 freestyle) to his night's work. Carufel took second in the 50 freestyle and Aaron Lane finished runner-up in the 100 backstroke.
Four other Tigers turned in third place performances: Cameron Molnar (100 butterfly); Austin Kueck (500 freestyle); Holton (100 backstroke) and Kirchmann (100 breaststroke).
The Tigers get back in the pool Friday, Dec. 30, with an appearance at the Apple Valley Invitational.
