Kiana Lord finished first in three of four events and won the all-around competition as the Tigers rolled by Red Wing 133.275-121.425 Friday night, Dec. 9, at the District Service Center.
Lord won the vault (9.2), uneven bars (8.45) and floor exercise (91.5) and ranked fourth on the balance beam (7.475) for a winning all-around total of 34.275.
Tahra Eckert placed in all four events and ranked second in all-around with 33.475 points. Eckert placed second in floor and third in vault, bars and beam.
Kyle Wharton also had a productive all-around night for the Tigers, finishing second on beam and bars and third in floor. Her all-around score of 33.075 earned her a third place finish.
Kathryn Beckett placed second in vaulting and Nadia Lorencz was fourth in floor and fifth on both bars and beam.
"We had small improvements from the first meet," coach Lynn Bauman said. "Our weakness is on bars and beam. We need to stay on the beam! What we have for beam routines is great; we just need to stay up there. Bars just need more polishing.
"Our team has a lot of potential. We will definitely reach it with determination and dedication."
The Tigers will look to keep improving Tuesday night, Dec. 13, when they entertain Missota Conference rival New Prague at the District Service Center.
