Christopher Kirchamann
4 top-five finishes at Prior Lake
The Tigers were a little shorthanded for last Saturday's season-opening Prior Lake Invitational but still managed a third place finish at the seven-team meet.
Host Prior Lake won the team title with 478 points. Cretin-Derham Hall was a distant second at 392, followed by Farmington 288, Watertown-Mayer/Waconia/Delano/Holy Family 250, Apple Valley 214, White Bear Lake 198 and Shakopee 190.
"The meet went pretty well," Tiger coach Ryan Hamen said. "The boys have really stepped up the yardage here in the beginning of the season and were a little tired going into it...We had a couple of guys unable to make the meet due to ACT testing but overall we were able to get some people in different events."
Christopher Kirchmamn turned in the top Farmington individual performance of the day, finishing runner-up in the 50 freestyle and third in the 100 freestyle.
Kirchmann also teamed up with Aaron Lane, Nick Stephan and Zach Holton for a third place finish in the 200 medley relay. That same quartet ranked fourth in the 400 freestyle relay.
Holton took fourth in the 100 butterfly and Stephan placed fifth in the 100 breaststroke.
Other Tiger top 10 finishes:
200 freestyle: 5. Eric Schimmel
200 individual medley: 6. Holton; 10. Stephan

100 freestyle: 10. Schimmel
500 freestyle: 7. Cameron Molnar
