The Tigers broke a scoreless tie eight minutes into the second half on a goal by Leslie Adjei but Chnahssen countered with one of its own 10 minutes later in a 1-1 tie in the Missota Conference opener for both teams played Thursday in Chanhassen.

The tie stretched Farmington's unbeaten streak to four games (3-0-1) and left coach Julian Buss generally pleased with his team's performance.

"We played a good second half and were able to get some very good looks at the goal," Buss said. "We had a number of fast breaks, good crosses and great shots that just missed the goal...All in all, not a bad showing as we opened the conference season on the road."

The Farmington  goal came off a pass from Blake Smith followed by a couple of strong moves by Adjei.

"Leslie did a great job maintaining possession through a couple of defenders," Buss said. "He didn't rush things and made a great shot."

Senior keeper Sam Peterson finished with six saves for the Tigers.

Saturday the Tigers step away from their conference schedule when they travel to Burnsville to take on the Blaze.
