After several close games in a row, the Tigers finally got to experience one that wasn't on the line in the second half.

Kelli Kornmann scored a pair of goals and Megan Graham, Naomi Wood and Emily Johnson each netted one as Farmington remained unbeaten in the Missota Conference (3-0) with a 5-0 shutout of Red Wing Tuesday afternoon at Tiger Stadium.

Kornmann scored from Kelli Elmer and Graham connected off a corner kick by Sydney Eckert to give the Tigers a 2-0 halftime lead.

Kornmann added her second score after intermission on an assist from Hannah Miller. Elmer and Destiny Schmitz assisted on the other second half scores.

Ashley Becker worked the nets in the first half with Marissa Muelken taking over for the final 40 minutes. Neither had much business as Farmington finished the contest with a one-sided 27-1 advantage in shots.

The combined shutout was the sixth of the season for the Tigers who upped their season record to 7-2-2.

"It was pretty lopsided but everyone played a lot of minutes minutes," coach Rob Carpentier said.
It was a nice, easy game after some real tests.

"Red Wing is coached well and played with a great deal of effort but the talent level we have was superior."

The Tigers continue their journey down the Missota Conference road Thursday night at New Prague.
