Farmington built a commanding 28-point lead before swimming the final two events as exhibitions in a 93-88 victory over Section 1 rival Rochester Century Tuesday night at the Dodge Middle School pool.

The meet was the first of three for the Tigers this week and coach Jen Marshall said her team has been putting in some heavy duty training for the grind.

"It's a tough week with three meets and heavy workouts in between," she said. "We're swimming a little sluggish but we are still posting some decent times."

The Tigers piled up six firsts and seven seconds against Century in pushing their season dual meet record to 2-1.

Kristen Kracke had a big night for the winners, finishing with four firsts. She won the 50 freestyle and 100 backstroke and also swam a leg on the victorious 200 freestyle and 200 medley relay teams.

Kaitlyn O'Reilly joined Kracke on the two championship relay teams and also took honors in the 200 individual medley. Cora Ruzicka won the 100 butterfly and swam on the winning 200 medley relay team.

Robin Ellis was the fourth member of the 200 medley relay team and Chelsea Gehrke and Ellie Sundet joined O'Reilly and Kracke for the 200 freestyle relay.

The seven runner-up finishes went to Sundet (100 and 200 freestyle); Ellis (50 freestyle and 100 backstroke); Ruzicka (500 freestyle); Gehrke (100 butterfly) and Nikki Cayard (diving).

Farmington also notched four third place finishes, including Gehrke in the 200 freestyle; Chloe Holton in the 200 individual medley; Tori Sontag on the one-meter board and Sara Kintner in the 500 freestyle.

The buys week continues on Thursday with a Missota Conference dual at New Prague followed by an appearance at the Bloomington Kennedy Invitational on Saturday.
