The win boosted Farmington's season record to 7-4-1 and an unbeaten 3-0-1 in Missota Conference play.
"We put together a good number of scoring opportunities but had difficulty finishing," Farmington coach Julian Buss said. "I think the boys were frustrated after the win because the final score didn’t really show how well they controlled the game, but I don’t have any complaints. It was a conference win on the road. A win is a win."
Nokes' game-winner came from 20 yards out on a pass from sweeper Eric Stoeckman with just 1:35 remaining in the opening half.
Sam Peterson worked the Tiger goal for the first half with Isaac Toenjes handling the keeper chores after intermission. Peterson finished with three saves and Toenjes four.
Buss said Peterson provided the save of the day when he snuffed a Trojan breakaway opportunity in the first half.
"Sam slid with a diving stop right behind the 18, getting possession of the ball just as he collided with a New Prague forward," Buss said.
The Tigers return to Missota Conference action Tuesday when they entertain Chaska at Tiger Stadium.
