Goals were scarce for the Tigers last week in a pair of Missota Conference losses.
Tuesday, Sept. 8, Holy Angels scored two second half goals to defeat the locals 2-0 at Tiger Stadium and Thursday at Northfield the Raiders jumped to a 5-0 halftime lead on the way to 6-2 victory.
The losses extended the Tiger losing streak to five games and left them with a
4-8 season record; 1-3 in Missota Conference play.
Farmington coach Julian Buss called the Holy Angels contest "a winnable game".
"I thought we played well," he said. "We had a good loud crowd and the band and dance squad were there. Unfortunately we were not able to take advantage of our scoring opportunities."
At Northfield the visitors had no answer for the Raiders who dominated the first 40 minutes of play.
The Tigers picked up the pace after intermission with goals by Brandon Scott and Sam Leske cutting the deficit to three scores before Northfield added a late insurance goal.
"The first half was just too much to overcome," Buss said.
Farmington closes out its regular season with a hectic four-game schedule: Monday, Oct. 4 at Shakopee; Tuesday versus Chaska at home; Thursday at New Prague and Saturday against Apple Valley at Tiger Stadium.
