Missota Conference newcomer Chaska proved a tough guest, shutting out the Tigers 3-0, Tuesday night, Oct. 12, at Tiger Gym. The Hawks won two close games 25-19 and 25-21 before pulling away in game three 25-11.
The loss dropped Farmington to 9-17 overall and 2-4 in the conference. Chaska stands 10-7 and 3-3.
Katie Habeck continued her season-long assault on the stat sheet with a team-high 12 kills, 17 serve receptions and 15 digs.
Brook King had a big night for the defense, finishing with team-highs in serve receptions (28) and digs (17).
Bekah Lippert led in blocks with five and she and Jordan Bridges chipped in with six kills apiece.
Mia Johnston and Andrea Smith finished with 12 and 10 set assists respectively. Smith had two of the team's four service aces.
Farmington closes out it regular season, Monday, Oct. 18, at New Prague. The Tigers begin defense of their Section 1AAA championship next week.
