What a difference two nights can make.
Tuesday, Sept. 28, the Tigers fell to Section 1 rival Rochester Mayo 3-0 at Tiger Gym. Forty-eight hours later on the same floor, coach Mike Woody's team rebounded for a 3-0 Missota Conference win over Holy Angels.
The Tigers won the first two games 25-16 and then put an exclamation point on the Jam the Gym Night victory with a 25-22 triumph in the match-clincher.
"We passed well and played with confidence," Woody said. "The girls have changed their mentality on offense and are going for the kill every time they can.
"We've been playing well for most of the last two weeks; we were just finally able to break through in this one."
Katie Habeck totaled 16 kills in three-game set while Bekah Lippert and Laura Steege chipped in with six and five respectively. Setter Haylee Lundquist had 14 assists and Mia Johnston added three service aces.
Defensively, Brook King registered 24 service receptions and also had a team-leading 16 digs. Habeck added 13 digs to another solid all-around performance.
