The Tigers rebounded from last week's loss to Lakeville North with a solid 7-4 road win over Chaska/Chanhassen Thursday night.
The victory was Farmignton's second in three tries and gives Paul Sorensen's squad one more win than it had all of last season.
"Tonight's MVP award goes to the entire team," Sorensen said. "This is the most complete game we've played on both sides of the ball in my three years here...We played with effort, heart and with the expectation that we would win."
The visitors trailed 2-0 after one period but scored the next four goals to take a 4-2 edge into the final period.
"I was proud of the way we stepped up after being in the early 2-0 hole," Sorensen said. "We battled back and overcame one quarter at a time."
Kevin Clifton, Jake Bauman and Mitch Collier each scored twice to pace the offense. Matt Ackerman added the seventh goal for the winners. Trevor Howard picked up two assists and Bauman had one.
Goalkeeper Charlie Weierke had another productive night in net, stopping 10 of the 14 shots he faced.
Sorensen said his defense also played a key role in the victory.
"They played as a unit and were active from start to finish," he said.
The Tigers will be looking for their third win of the season Saturday night when they take on Lakeville South at Lakeville North stadium.
