Lorencz, Parco make Hamline Elite field

Nadia Lorencz
Tiger track standouts Nadia Lorencz and Alyssa Parco will compete against Minnesota's best athletes Friday at the Hamline Elite meet to be held Friday at Hamline University in St. Paul.

The event serves as a preview to the state meet held in June at the same site and features the top performers in the state based on early season times and distances.

Lorencz, who has the state's best time in the 100-meter hurdles (14.97) as well as the longest triple jump (37-2) and long jump (18-4), will compete in all three events at the prestigious meet. She finished second in both the hurdles and long jump at the state meet last year.

Parco will go into the Hamline meet with the fastest Minnesota time in her signature event, the 300-meter hurdles (45.29).  A three-time state qualifier in the event, Parco placed third in the event at last spring's state finals.
