Lippold was a nine-time NAIA all-American during her collegiate career running for three schools, Minnesota State, Mankato, Lindenwood College (Missouri) and Doane.
She helped Doane win the NAIA national championship in 2002, placing fifth in the 800-meter run and running a leg on the third place 4x800 meter relay team at the national finals.
Lippold graduated from FHS in 1999 after having qualified for and ran in both the state cross country and track meets during her prep career..
While Farmington has just added trap shooting as an activity for which a varsity letter may be earned, Prior Lake has offered the sport for three years. The coach is Lippold's father and former Tiger Doug Dingman, a 1977 FHS grad and state champion clay shooter... Dingman reports that the number of schools offering the sport in Minnesota has swelled from 29 in 2011 to 57 in 2012...Two other former FHS athletes, Dave Warweg and Mark Henry are assistant high school shooting coaches, Warweg in New Prague and Henry in Burnsville.
2007 FHS Athlete of the Year Trey Davis finished seventh in the shot put and eighth in the discus for the University of Minnesota at the Drake Relays in Des Moines, Iowa last weekend. The previous week he placed fourth in the shot put at the Mt. Sac Relays in California....Another ex-Tiger athlete of the year, Logan Hussung (2010), is a teammate and fellow thrower at Minnesota but has been out of action with a broken foot.
Trevor Davis, former Tiger three-sport athlete, has accepted a graduate assistant coaching position at Northwestern Louisiana State University of the NCAA Division I Southland Conference. Davis, who will graduate from Hamline University this spring, has worked in the Farmington Youth Basketball program for several years and this past winter coached the Tiger B-squad.

Ex-Tiger Michael Bendix won the high jump (6-5) and triple jump (44-5.5) to help Minnesota State, Moorhead to the title at the 10-team Cobber Twilight Invitational held recently at Concordia College in Moorhead. The Dragons are currently ranked among the top 20 NCAA Division II teams in the country.....2008 Tiger grad Abby Kenealy, who ranks as the 11th all-time women's basketball scorer at Southwest State University, will graduate from that school with a bachelor's degree in graphic design this spring.
