Ivan Rodriguez 7-6, 6-3 winner at No. 3 singles |
Holy Angels kept the Tigers winless in Missota Conference play with a 6-1 win Tuesday afternoon at the Valley View Courts in Richfield.
"They (Holy Angels) have a fairly deep team and are very strong at the top of the lineup," Tiger coach Jack Olwell said. "It was a very windy day which on some courts was a plus and others a problem."
Ivan Rodriguez scored the only Farmington point with a 7-6 (3), 6-1 win at third singles.
"Ivan pulled a rabbit out of the hat for the second match in a row," Olwell said. "He fell behind early, saved some games and then won the first-set tie-breaker."
The Tigers will be looking to break into the conference win column Thursday when they entertain Northfield at the Boeckman Middle School courts.
